A Sustainable and Serene Home Inspired by Milk-Tea Color

Spanning across 165m2, the Mellow Refined Residence showcases the perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality. The entryway sets the tone with wooden-veined grilles and marble-veined wooden flooring, creating a visually captivating and refined ambiance that extends throughout the common areas.

What sets this residence apart is its emphasis on sustainability. A large amount of toxin-free green material is used indoors, ensuring a healthy living environment. The main wall, specifically designed to combat humid weather, is made of Lotos cement, known for its high moisture absorption and air permeability. To maximize space and add a finishing touch, tawny glass is used to divide the wall.

The interior design of the Mellow Refined Residence focuses on simplicity and warmth. The statement wall, adorned in a soft, intellectual light gray, is complemented by light-veined cabinetry and flooring, creating a harmonious visual quality. The living room and dining room continue the blend of milk-tea tones and gray colors, enhanced by light-shade wooden flooring, low wood-veined TV cabinets, and ceiling grooves. The wooden light-meal area behind the kitchen island, paired with recessed lights and indirect lighting, adds a touch of natural warmth to the space.

One of the key considerations in the design of this residence was the safety and comfort of the two children living in the house. The layout ensures a smooth flow and creates a healthy and safe environment for their growth. Abundant storage cabinetry, thoughtfully installed with consideration for the children's heights, provides ample space for their belongings. Additionally, each child has their own cozy nook, complete with upholstered coaches.

The organization of storage is a highlight throughout the entire residence. Cabinetry of diverse functions is seamlessly integrated into different spaces, ensuring storage needs are met while maintaining a neat and clutter-free environment. By simplifying the design and using healthy, safe green materials, the Mellow Refined Residence exudes a laid-back and welcoming vibe, embodying the essence of a sweet home.

The Mellow Refined Residence, completed in June 2021 in New Taipei City, Taiwan, has been recognized for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. This prestigious award acknowledges the well-designed, practical, and innovative nature of the residence, meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
